Upload New Version of Document
In the Document Library, users can add another version of document. Adding a new version may be done in 3 ways such as:
1. By using the Right Click of a selected document.
2. By Using the Side Preview of a selected document.
3. By Using the Preview of a selected document.
Follow these steps to upload a new version of document:
1. Go to Document Library
2. Choose desired document or Upload a new file to upload a new version of the file or document, then Single click on that particular document.
3. In the upper right side of the web page, click
or this can be done by selecting an option in Right Click Properties of respective document and even can perform in Side-Preview of that particular document.
4. Choose type of version. There are two types of version such as Minor Version or Major Version.
Minor Version means that there are minimal changes in the document.
For example: Font size is changed from size 10 to 12.
Major Version means that there are radical changes in the document.
For example: One page is deleted from the document or file.
5. Once user decided on the type of version, user may add comment on the file or the document before uploading a new version.
6. Click to complete the upload a new version.
7. User can even "RESTORE" previous versions as "CURRENT DOCUMENT" and "DELETE" previous versions and also they can "DOWNLOAD" previous version documents.
